I love great music - mostly classical and opera. My music education began at an early age; both my parents were pianists: my father very talented and accomplished, my mother less so. At the University of Notre Dame I received a rather informal music education that I described in an essay titled, Mozart, Father Ted, and Me, which was published in Notre Dame Magazine. Father Ted refers to the celebrated Father Theodore M. Hesburgh, C.S.C., beloved past president of the University.
